Manual Measurement
Manual card centering calculator
Use this calculator when you measured a card with a ruler, calipers, scanner, or another method outside the photo-based Centering tool. Enter the visible border width on each side using the same unit for every field.
The ratio is calculated from opposite borders. For example, equal left and right borders read as 50/50, while a wider left border may read as 57/43 left-to-right.
Enter border measurements
Use millimeters, inches, pixels, or any consistent unit. Leave an axis blank if you only measured one direction. The preview normalizes each axis to a typical 2.5-3.0mm TCG border at 50/50.
Scaled border preview
Enter left, right, top, and bottom to estimate grading-center thresholds.
How to read the result
Each axis compares one border to the opposite border. If the left side measures 12 and the right side measures 8, the card shows left 60% and right 40%.
Top/bottom and left/right calculate independently. If you only enter one pair, only that pair shows percentages on the card and only that axis changes visually.
The card is an approximate scaled border preview, not a guaranteed physical reconstruction.
Measurement notes
Measure from the visible card edge to the printed border on the same side of the card. Use the same unit for all fields and avoid mixing front and back measurements in one calculation.
Physical measurements are still estimates. Rounded corners, foil glare, soft border transitions, print shifts, sleeves, and ruler placement can change the final ratio slightly.
